2023 Christmas Mini Sessions

Magic & Merriment In Enchanted Woodlands

This was my first time hosting themed mini sessions and it was everything I hoped it to be and more! I wanted something that was festive but was still true to my aesthetic. I brainstormed ideas based on and all my favourite things; nature, old world charm, effortless glamour and the wonderment and nostalgia that I simply adore ! I am the type of gal who likes to control every element of the creative process so there was no stylist on deck, just me ( and I LOVED every second of it).

I started off by creating a moodboard with all my different ideas, the colour palette, the furniture and the props. Then it was weeks of scouring Facebook Marketplace to find the perfect pieces one by one until I had something special I was ready to roll out.

I knew I wanted to do something different and offer an outdoor option for families as opposed to the traditional indoor, smaller setup. I love seeing how free and happy children are when I shoot outdoors, I truly believe innocence and awe shines when children are connected with nature and I really wanted to be able to harness that magic for our session. The location needed to be the right aesthetic, I wanted it to look and feel as if you had stepped into a magical woodland. Thankfully my husband and dad were more than happy to appease me and carry the heavy antique couch and extra large tree all the way through the massive park and into the woodlands I had found !

The sessions were incredible, each and every family had the most contagious energy, it was pure joy and the feedback and kind words I have received made all the super late nights of editing whilst caring for my teething little girl oh so worth it !
