There Is Alot To Love About Wet Weather Sessions
With the cooler months approaching I’m sure many of you are worried about wet weather and cloudy sunless skies ruining your sessions, but in my book every season and every type of lighting can create the most magical moments if we choose to simply lean into them and embrace their beauty.
Here are three reasons why I love cloudy and rainy sessions
- Soft flattering light Overcast skies offer incredible lighting for lovely, even skin tones and limitless shooting locations! It also means we can shoot at any time and not have to avoid peak times due to the harshness of the sun.
- A striking backdrop On a clear sunny day you cannot get the depth of clouds that are needed to create a dramatic moody sky. They are a divine balance of strength and fragility, so poetic and so unique!
- Rain is magic! When it rains there is a childlike sense of fun and wonder that comes over us, you can let loose and enjoy the present moment. It is the ultimate weather for cuddles and intimacy which is the perfect recipe for authentic family or couples photography.
